OUR EGGPLANT VARIETIES
Rosita Eggplant #GHE1 80 days. Pinkish, lavender fruits are 6-8” long and 3 4” wide. White, sweet flesh all the way to the skin. Brought from Puerto Rico. Beautiful rose color. Hearty 2-3 ft plants, Mod water, moderate sun.
Udumalapet Thai Eggplant#GHE2 -75-85 days. Beautiful striped egg plant. Heavy yields of teardrop-shaped fruits are green and vibrant with lavender stripes and striking green calyxes. Best eaten small, when fruits are around 3” long. Heavy producer.
-80 days. This variety is nearly 100 years old, and still well loved as the classic big-fruited black eggplant. Glossy fruits become quite large, well shaped, and perfect for slicing and grilling or eggplant Parmesean.
-68 days. Long, slender deep purple, almost black, of Asian origin, and have wonderful, mild flavor, perfect for Oriental dishes or simply splitting and grilling or roasting. Very productive and feature foliage with a purple tinge as well as fruit with a purple calyx.
